Legal
Terms of Use
Last updated August 2026
These terms govern your use of techlawg.com, including the free tools. By using the site you accept them. If you engage TECHLAWG for services, that work is governed by a separate written agreement for the matter, which takes precedence over these terms.
Who you are dealing with
The site is operated by TECHLAWG. Contact: contact@techlawg.com.
TECHLAWG is a legal technology company. It is not a US law firm and does not hold itself out as licensed to practise US law. See the Disclaimer for what that means in practice.
Using the site
You may read, download and share what we publish here for your own business purposes, including using the tools as often as you like. You may not republish our content as your own, sell it, systematically scrape the site, or use it to train a machine learning model without written permission.
You also may not attempt to interfere with the site, probe it for vulnerabilities, or use it to send anything unlawful.
The free tools
The Policy Checker and the Launch Checklist Generator are provided free and without warranty. They are automated: the checker matches wording patterns, and the generator applies general rules to the answers you give.
Neither tool reviews your document, knows your business, or gives advice on your situation. A document can pass every check and still be wrong for the product it describes, and a checklist can be complete and still miss something specific to you. Do not treat either output as confirmation that you are compliant.
The tools run in your browser. We do not receive, see or store what you paste into them, which also means we cannot retrieve it for you.
What you send us
By submitting a question to Founder Desk you agree that we may publish it in edited and anonymised form. Do not submit confidential, privileged or third-party material through this site. Until an engagement is agreed in writing, what you send is not treated as confidential in the way it would be within a professional relationship.
You keep ownership of anything you send. You grant us permission to use it to answer you and, for Founder Desk questions, to publish an anonymised version.
No advice, no relationship
Everything on this site is general information, not legal advice for your situation. Using the site, using a tool, subscribing or sending a question does not create a lawyer-client relationship. That relationship arises only where scope, fees and terms have been agreed in writing.
Intellectual property
The TECHLAWG name, the design of this site, the tools and their rule sets, and everything we publish here belong to TECHLAWG or its licensors.
Availability and changes
The site and the tools are provided as they are and as available. We do not guarantee that they will be uninterrupted or error-free, that content is current, or that any feature will continue to exist. We may change, suspend or discontinue any part of the site at any time.
Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss arising from your use of, or reliance on, this site or the tools, including lost profits, lost business or loss of data. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.
If you are a consumer, these terms do not affect your statutory rights.
Links to other sites
Where we link to something external, we do not control it and are not responsible for its content.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the current version, and continued use of the site after a change means you accept it.
